- Experience administering, deploying, and troubleshooting Linux environments
- Data Centre Management, including HP, Dell, Cisco, Netapp, Brocade, Enterasys appliances
- Extensive VMware, KVM, HyperV experience
- Many different storage solutions (SAN/NAS/EMC) mostly Netapp
- Advanced Fibre / Ethernet Routing and Switching
- Proficiency in base scripting languages, Bash, Batch or similar languages
- Proficiency in MySQL and PostgreSQL administration
- Strong understanding around environment/server performance and how to identify and troubleshoot issues
- Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP and fundamental network protocols such as TCP/UDP
- Experience with virtualization platforms, server consolidation, and administering virtual environments
- Great English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to quickly identify problems under pressure, determine root cause, and drive issues to completion
- Identifying areas of concern and scope of work to improve the overall process of deployments, development and administration
